When the creation of an image is achieved through the use of a device, there comes a moment when that device becomes central and the subject of all inquiries. By considering the device as a comprehensive whole, fully participating in the creation process while simultaneously conditioning it, it seems possible to reflect on the unique position that photographic equipment occupies in the production or installation of images.
