The surrender that marks the end of my relationship with Photography. After publishing this book, I will retire (whether I succeed or not, the decision is made). For me, this is a change of cycle; I am now a father, I have a few months left until I turn 40, and I want to close a chapter that began when I left photojournalism and ventured into the unknown in search of an expanded and unbound photography. And that is what this photo book is about—how I have managed to escape the prison of the image, freeing myself from the weight of Photography with a capital P to learn how to live life after art, as Oteiza said.
