About the event
During the workshop we will learn to experiment with the cyanotype technique using the photographs of the participants and with plants. Cyanotype is an experimental photographic system discovered in the 19th century. Thanks to this method we can remember the first woman photographer, Anna Atkins, with the first photobook of botanical species. This technique uses sunlight as the main source for developing photographs, making the results unique. We will play on different supports such as paper, glass, cloth, among others. We will continue to develop other possibilities that this technique offers us, such as twists, using everyday items such as tea and coffee. Finally, we will see the wide range of opportunities that this experimental process gives us.
