The first block covers six months dedicated to learning 44 experimental techniques at three levels: Exploring (Creative Photography, Cyanotype, Multiple Exposure, Film Swap, Film Soup, Redscale, Chemigramas, Pinhole and Solarigraphy) to Intermediate levels (Experimental Printing, Intervened Photography, Photoembroidery, Advanced Pinhole, Advanced Solarigraphy, Analemma, Experimental Polaroid, Antotype, Chlorotype, Lumen Print, Alchemography and Advanced Chemigramas), and Advanced (Intervention, Collage, Mordançage, Photography and Poetry, Experimental 3D, Digital Art, Experimental Polaroid, Experimental Cinema and Scanography). Participants will explore a wide range of approaches, starting from the very basics and progressing to the complexity of the interaction between them. During these courses, access is provided to information resources, pre-recorded workshops and lectures with international artists that are organized thematically. This comprehensive understanding of the techniques and photosensitivity of different materials is fundamental to understanding experimental photography as a whole.

In the second block, lasting two months, students will select from a variety of Specialization courses. Options include Historical Techniques: Introduction (Creation of Negatives, Van Dyke Brown on paper, Salted Paper and Albumen Print), Historical Techniques: Advanced (Wet Collodion, Argyrotype, Kallitype and Bichromated Gum), Solar Printing (Chlorotype, Antotype and Cyanotype), Creative Photography (Multiple exposures, Panoramas, Creative cameras and filters, Internal masks, Splitzer, Film soup, Light leaks, Lightpainting, Redscale, EBS, Scraping, Photo transfer, Photo embroidery, Collage and Stop Motion) and Digital Art Experimental (Blender, character creation and Rigging, Grease Pencil and animation, nodes and sequences in Python). These courses are pre-recorded and taught by an expert in each area.

Finally, to obtain their diploma, the student will develop a personal project during the last two months of the program, integrating what they learned in the theoretical and practical classes. To properly develop their projects, participants will receive guidance in the form of two project reviews with Pablo Giori before submitting it for presentation.

Upon completion of the program, the student's project will be incorporated into our Experimental Online Library, and a project will be selected annually to be exhibited individually during the next edition of the Experimental Photo Festival of Barcelona.

For those students who in the last five years have completed the basic content necessary to obtain the Diploma in Experimental Photography, but have not completed and presented their projects, we offer the possibility of enrolling in this last phase. By joining this course, you will be able to invest two months in the development of your personal project, you will receive guidance on two occasions from our director, Pablo Giori, and you will make a final presentation to obtain the Diploma.
