Célica Véliz

Price

20€

Duration

2 hours

About the workshop

In this workshop we will see two techniques that use the photosensitive properties of different materials of plant origin. With antitype, pigments of different colors can be produced and applied to paper or fabric. In the case of chlorophyll printing we will use green leaves as a support. When light passes through a positive printed transparency placed by contact on a paper covered with vegetable pigments or on green leaves, it will react by lightening, allowing the images to be seen on these surfaces.
1- History of the technique and current references. 2- Preparation of work positives. 3-Plant extracts. Color possibilities, modifications with alkaline substances. Fading. 4-Possible supports. 5- Exposure times and light quality. 6- Choice of materials. 7-Conservation of copies of chlorophyll
